Foreword to parents and carers
Please read it carefully
Thank you for choosing Brazil Kidz Football for your children's first steps in football education. As parents, we always observe their teachers, coaches and all other people they interact with and learn from. We will do our best to treat them with the respect they all deserve. Please feel always free to give feedback and to approach for a chat about the sessions. If your enquiry is about behaviour of kids on the pitch that are not yours, please contact me directly over phone or meet me face to face to discuss your concerns. I do not handle such issues over txt or e-mail as I want to make sure you are carefully listened to.
Secondly, we would like to bring to your attention some basic instructions to ensure your children can get the most out their time on the field.
- We use WhatsApp as a group communication app to send reminders and also notifications about cancelations due to weather or other unforseen event. WhatsApp is free and it is integrated with Facebook and Instagram, which are platforms we also use. We understand some people have reservations with the use of particular social media channels and there is the option of sms communication as well to those who prefer it, but that will incur in extra cost for the parent. Please get in touch to discuss this further if you decide not to download WhatsApp to your phone or computer.
- Kids are expected to arrive 10 minutes before their classes on their uniforms. That gives time to catch up with friends, fill water bottles, put boots on and get ready to the practice. Parents are required to confirm presence on the day through WhatsApp as the number of players impact on the session design.
- No mobile phones, watches, toys or any device that might take the children's attention away from the practice are allowed on the field. The same goes for jewellery as they are a potential hazard for the children.
- The children must have in mind that 1 hour a week is far from enough to master the game of football. They are expected to practice in their free time and to be focused, to the best of their abilities, in the coaches instructions. Yes, we make it fun, but we need cooperation so the session goals are achieved.
- Please disclose if your child has any momentary or ongoing needs or challenges like neurodiversity. We need to know about how we can support him/her to feel confortable during the practice. Children might be requested to take a time out to cool their heads before coming back to practice if he/she is impacting the development of the session. Bullying is not accepted. We strive to make our space as inclusive as possible.
- We play under rain, unless it is heavy or there is lightning activity.
- Injuries may happen as football is a contact sport. Neither Brazil Kidz Football or its coaches are liable for injuries related or not to practice while the kids are training, unless in cases of negligence.
- In case of cancellations of classes due to weather, pandemic or any other reason beyond the control of Brazil Kidz Football, the coach will attempt to hold a virtual session that might comprise of movies, quizzes, games, exercise instructions and other virtual activities so the kids don't miss the day. Virtual classes cannot comprise more than 30% of the term. If more than 30% of the term is compromised for any reason, class credits are rolled over to the next term.
- Photos and videos of the classes might be used to publicise the business. Even though we do the best not to make portraits of the players, in some of the images displayed the children might be identifiable. Please let us know if you have a problem with that or wish a particular image to be taken down.
- Refunds may be granted under special circumstances. Going on holidays is not one them. Please plan yourself properly before signing your child for practice. We follow the NSW school calendar to include the breaks between terms.
- All players enrolled with BKF are encouraged to play for their local clubs once the season starts as we don't often offer players the chance to engage in regular competitive games against other squads at this stage. Competitive games are a great tool for football and character development.
If you agree to all items above, you may proceed to the members shop and purchase the appropriate options. Uniforms are compulsory. If you need further clarification about any of the items above, please get in touch.
We accept the Active Kids Voucher that gives children who reside in NSW $50 per semester.
If you are sending us the voucher number, please type the code AKV2024 before checking out to receive the discount.
